Why I built Muscle Matrix.

I spent years studying the science of human movement — and the more I learned, the more I noticed a glaring gap. The women who needed evidence-based coaching the most were the ones the fitness industry was serving the least.

Women in their 35s, 40s, and 50s. Women navigating perimenopause, career peaks, family demands, and hormonal shifts that completely change how the body responds to training and nutrition. Women who used to be athletes — in sport, in dance, in competitive fitness — and who felt increasingly disconnected from that version of themselves as life got busier.

I wanted to give them something better: coaching that treats them like the capable, intelligent, athletic women they are. Programming built around their hormones, not despite them. Nutrition guidance grounded in science, not restriction. A framework built for longevity — not a 30-day challenge.
My Honours degree in Kinesiology from Western University gave me the scientific foundation. My NASM certifications gave me the tools. Two years of coaching private clients, leading group fitness, and working with varsity athletes gave me the real-world experience to know what actually works — and what doesn’t.
